Carbonless form printing plays an important role in business. Almost every transaction involves the use of forms. Companies in manufacturing or insurance record invoices, receipts, and inventory logs. Carbonless or NCR forms lessen the hassle of filling out several copies of a document every time.
Each set provides several copies of one form. Pressure applied with a pen on the first sheet copies the markings onto the paper underneath. This removes the need to use carbon copy paper, enabling more time-efficient transactions.
We let you choose from 4 sizes suitable for all types of custom carbonless forms:
Pick your carbonless forms’ paper set based on the number of copies you need. We print each “set” on smooth, writable 20 lb. paper.
We apply a layer of clear glue at the edge of the form to keep one set together. You can choose from 4 locations for your glued edge in each set: top, left, right, or bottom.
Sequential numbering helps you keep track of specific orders made within the day. The numbers can also help businesses keep track of transactions made in different locations.
You can select our padding option to combine 25, 50, or 100 sets in one pad. Choose from 2 kinds of pads that protect all the combined sets:
If you need the sets separate for manual input, select the Not Padded (Loose Sets) option on the calculator.

How exactly do carbonless forms copy the information from one sheet to another?
Carbonless copy paper has micro-encapsulated ink on the backside of the top sheet. The front side of the bottom sheet is coated with clay. One applies pressure when writing on or typing mechanically on the top sheet. This pressure allows the ink to react with the clay, which copies the markings on the top sheet onto the bottom one.
When can I expect to receive my custom carbonless forms?
The “ready to ship in” time indicates how long it takes to produce your order. Your order can be ready after just 4 business days. Your order will be shipped to the indicated address the day after the printing turnaround period.
Our NCR sets consist of a top sheet and up to 4 copy sheets. They are bound together with glue on the top or left side and are easy to separate.
NCR snap sets are not glued - they are bound with a perforated strip. The individual sheets stay in place and are easily separated by removing the perforated stub. Optional hole punching at the top or left side is available for easy storage in a binder.
NCR pads consist of 25 or 50 individual sets and are bound with glue at the top or on the left side. Especially for times when mulitple sets are needed, it is an advantage to have many sets in one place.
NCR Printing FAQ
What is NCR Printing?
The meaning of NCR is "No Carbon Required". Basically, it’s paper that can be used for the likes of personalised duplicate invoice books, but carbonless, unlike the good old days with the need for messy blue carbon paper. We offer NCR Printing in a range of options for creating invoices and receipts while on the move.
What’s usually included on NCR prints?
You can include whatever information you require duplicate copies for on your NCR prints, but we do recommend that you include your brand colours and logo as standard.
Why should you put your logo on NCR forms?
Broad use of your branding and logo make sure you’re recognised and encourage brand awareness as well as creating an established feel. However, it is particularly important with NCR printing to make sure that your customers know the source of these invoices and receipts and trust your legitimacy.
Can you add numbers to my NCR print?
Yes, we can, simply select the option to number your invoices on your chosen product. We offer this on all sets, pads and books, to make keeping on top of your invoices that little bit easier.
What’s the difference between a NCR Pad and an NCR Book?
Our books include a cover and cardboard backing and are our most sturdy choice. The pages are bound together by stitching and come with a perforated edge for easy removal.
Pads are glued along the top with a cardboard backing, ideal for a back up to your digital invoices.
Is NCR the same as No Carbon Required?
Yes. "No More Messy Blue Carbon Paper" doesn't have the same ring to it.
What is carbonless paper and how does it work?
Carbonless forms are also known as no carbon required (NCR) forms. Without the use of carbon copy papers, they make duplicate copies of a handwritten or type document without the mess. Microcapsules of ink in each sheet transfer the original imprint.
Why should I print customized carbonless forms?
A customized carbonless form gives customers a professional impression of your business. The business forms you hand out are less likely to appear generic and like other companies.
When can I expect my carbonless forms to arrive?
On our online calculator, you can select your preferred printing time. Expect your order to be ready in 4 business days.
The printing time does not include shipping to your address. Select the “Estimate Shipping Cost and Delivery Date” link to find out your order's arrival.
How many pads do I get based on the number of sets ordered?
On our online calculator, you can specify the number of sets and the set quantity per pad. Dividing the number of sets by the number of sets per pad gives you the total amount of pads. For example, if you choose 250 sets and 25 sets per pad, that will yield 10 pads. If you select 2500 sets and 50 sets per pad, you'll end up with 50 pads.
